Authorize calendar access
A Google Workspace super administrator must complete these steps. The permission lets Granola read and update calendar events on behalf of users in your Google Workspace. See Google’s domain-wide delegation guide for details.- Sign in to the Google Admin console.
- Open Security > Access and data control > API controls > Manage Domain Wide Delegation.
-
Select Add new and enter Granola’s Google service account client ID:
-
Enter this OAuth scope:
- Select Authorize.
- Confirm with your Granola contact that access is granted and automatic Heads Up is enabled for your workspace.
Create and check a meeting
- As a Granola workspace member, create a future meeting in your connected Google account’s primary calendar.
- Add Google Meet conferencing and an internal attendee. For this check, do not book a meeting room.
- Save the event and allow time for Granola to process the calendar update.
- Reopen the event and check that its meeting link opens a Heads Up page.
- Select Join meeting and check that you reach the Google Meet call.
Turn off automatic setup
Ask your Granola contact to disable automatic Heads Up updates for your workspace. Existing Heads Up links remain in calendar events. To revoke Granola’s delegated calendar access, your Google Workspace super administrator can remove its client ID (116390797912685619156) from Manage Domain Wide Delegation.
The Google Calendar add-on remains a separate setup option.
