This doc walks through how you can export notes older than 30 days from Granola. This feature is built to support those on our free trial who may not have access to their notes from over 30 days ago. There isn’t currently a way to export your full note history, or to export transcripts in bulk.

Exporting your historical data

You’re able to export historical data from Granola by going to Settings, clicking Edit profile at the top of the sidebar, and clicking Generate CSV: image.png This will generate a CSV emailed to you within a few hours. It contains notes from before 30 days ago (notes younger than 30 days are not included). The CSV includes the title, note summary, and other basic details for each note. It does not include the full transcript for each note. The export is based on the workspaces you select and only includes notes you own in those workspaces.
  • Download link expiry: The link in the email is valid for 24 hours. After that, the link will no longer work.
  • Regenerating an export: You can request a new export at any time. If your previous link has expired or you need a fresh file, go to Settings > Edit profile > Generate CSV again and choose your workspaces. Note: you can only create one export every 24 hours (per account). If you request another export within 24 hours of your last one, you’ll need to wait until the 24 hours have passed before generating a new export.
Data export is enabled by default on Business and Basic plans. On Enterprise plans, data export is disabled by default, and only Enterprise workspace admins have access to the Allow exporting data toggle in workspace settings to enable or disable it for their members: image.png

How can I export my transcripts in bulk?

Currently there isn’t a way to do this, however:
  • You can copy an individual transcript by navigating into a note, opening the transcription box, and clicking the Copy button.
  • MCP and the Enterprise API are available on specific plans and let you access your note summaries (and in some cases more) from other tools. See Granola MCP and Enterprise API for details.
