User Groups are available on the Enterprise plan only.

Create a group

There are two ways to create a group in Granola: If your workspace is set up with directory sync, groups can be created in your identity provider and synced with Granola. To configure this:
  1. Create a group in the identity provider, and add users to it.
  2. Push the group to the Granola application.
  3. After a couple of minutes, the group will sync with Granola and be available to use for permission management.

Manually

Workspace admins can manually create a user group:
  1. Navigate to Settings → Team → Groups.
  2. Click Create group, give the group a name and add workspace members to it.
Note that you won’t be able to edit or delete user groups that have been created via Directory sync.

Managing permissions

You can give a group access to a Space or folder. Permissions update automatically as the group’s membership changes. Groups can be added as Viewers or Collaborators.
