When notes sync
Notes sync to desktop after transcription and summarization are complete. Until then, the note only exists on your iPhone. If a note seems stuck on iPhone and isn’t appearing on desktop:- Check that the note has finished processing (you should see the enhanced notes, not just “generating…”)
- If transcription failed or is taking too long, report a bug from the iPhone app
What syncs
- Completed meeting notes: Notes that have finished transcription and summarization
- Transcripts: Full transcripts are available on both devices
- Edits: Changes you make to completed notes sync across devices
What doesn’t sync
- Notes in progress: A note that’s still being transcribed or summarized won’t appear on desktop yet (including any private/pre-meeting notes)
Features that require desktop
Some features are only available on the desktop app. For notes taken on iPhone, you’ll need to use desktop to:- Apply templates: Custom templates can only be created and applied from desktop
- Move to folders: Folder management is desktop-only
- Share to integrations: Notion, Slack, HubSpot, and other integrations require desktop
- Change workspaces: Notes default to your oldest workspace; move them via desktop
- Manage calendar sync: Calendar connections are configured on desktop
- Transfer notes between accounts: Moving notes from one account to another requires desktop
- View trash and restore notes: The trash feature is only available on desktop
Tips for a smooth workflow
- Take notes on iPhone for in-person meetings and phone calls
- Wait for notes to finish processing before expecting them on desktop
- Review and organize on desktop to apply templates, move to folders, and share
