# Reinstalling Granola for macOS and Windows

> Learn how to uninstall and reinstall Granola on macOS or Windows. Fix installation issues or start fresh.

Granola should stay up-to-date automatically, but this can be blocked by permissions restrictions on your computer if you're using a device that's managed by your company. Here's how to manually uninstall and reinstall Granola to get the latest version.

# macOS

## Uninstalling Granola

1. Open **Finder** and navigate to **Applications**.

2. Right-click on **Granola** and select *Move to Bin*.

3. In **Finder**, search for "Granola" and filter by "This Mac" and delete any other instances of the Granola app by moving them to the bin - in case you installed the Granola app in another location.

4. Go to the **Bin**, highlight all Granola files, and choose *Delete Immediately*.

5. If there's a Granola icon left in your dock, right-click it and select *Unpin*.
