# Heads Up with the Outlook add-in

> Deploy the Outlook add-in and create Microsoft Teams meetings with Heads Up.

The Outlook add-in lets organizers create Microsoft Teams meetings with [Heads Up](/help-center/consent-security-privacy/heads-up-for-enterprise). This option is available to Enterprise workspaces on a pilot.

For automatic updates to eligible meetings, use [automatic Heads Up for Microsoft Outlook](/help-center/consent-security-privacy/heads-up-microsoft-outlook-automatic).

## Deploy the add-in

A Microsoft 365 Exchange or Global administrator can deploy the add-in to workspace members:

1. Open [Granola for Outlook in Microsoft Marketplace](https://marketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/product/WA200011878?tab=Overview).
2. Select **Get it now** and sign in with your Microsoft 365 administrator account.
3. Choose the users or groups who should receive the add-in, then accept the requested permissions and complete deployment.

See Microsoft's [Office add-in deployment guide](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/manage/office-addins?view=o365-worldwide) for licensing, role, and assignment requirements.

After deployment, a Granola workspace admin must [enable the feature in Granola](/help-center/consent-security-privacy/heads-up-for-enterprise#enable-the-feature-in-granola).

Each organizer must use the Microsoft 365 account connected to Granola. Personal Outlook.com accounts are not supported.

## Create and check a meeting

1. Create an event in Outlook and add its title, start time, and end time.
2. Open **Apps** and select **Add Granola meeting**.
3. Complete the Microsoft permission prompt if it appears.
4. Add participants and any other meeting details, then save the event.

The add-in creates a Microsoft Teams meeting and adds its Heads Up link as a location. Existing rooms and other locations remain on the event.

Open the Heads Up link after saving the event. Check that the page shows the meeting details, then select **Join meeting** to continue to Microsoft Teams.
